Democrat, Obama wins
presidential election. Democrats expand control of congress by
a slight majority. Changes are in store at the FCC where
the current 3-2 Republican majority will be replaced by a 3-2
Democrat majority when Obama takes office. In Texas, with
exception of a few, Incumbents (whether Democrat or Republican)
maintained their seats. The Republican/Democrat split remains
tight.

to maintain a consistent level of 9-1-1 service
